Executive Summary

NATO Communications and Information Agency were looking to deliver a series of Soft Skills workshops to upskill their staff.

  • 9 one-day workshops to be delivered
  • Delivered over a 5 month period

The Brief

NCIA has a mixture of civilian and military staff, which have broad development needs.  The Agency identified a number of soft skills which needed developing.

The Solution

We created nine bespoke one-day workshops which are being delivered between September 2018 and January 2019 at their 3 main locations in Brussels, Mons and The Hague:

All Staff:

  • Resilience
  • Time Management
  • Communication Skills
  • Influencing
  • Cross Cultural Awareness

Managers:

  • Leading Others Through Change
  • Coaching and Feedback
  • Management Essentials
  • Developing Others

All the workshops were designed with the specific and unique needs of the Agency in mind, particularly taking into account the challenges of managing civilian and military staff on fixed term contracts or rotations.

The Results

The tailored in house programmes delivered were very well attended and received, with participants liking the practical exercises and tools, the balance of theory and exercises and the interactive, fun style.

The workshops scored an average of 4.2 out of 5 for content, and 4.6 for the facilitator.
